Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth removal in Beverly Hills

Wisdom teeth are the last molars to arrive, usually between the ages of 17 and 25, and the modern jaw rarely has room for them. When one comes in impacted or begins to crowd its neighbors, it can bring pain, infection, and decay to the teeth around it. Knowing the infection warning signs helps you tell when a sore back tooth needs prompt attention. Dr. Hill removes wisdom teeth, whether erupted or still hidden under the gum, as part of her wider general dentistry care, always with your comfort planned first.

What sets her approach apart is who stays with you. Dr. Hill reviews your imaging, chooses the sedation that fits you, removes the tooth, and follows your healing herself, seeing one patient at a time. Certified in IV conscious sedation with a dental anesthesiologist on hand, she treats your comfort as the point of the visit rather than an afterthought, so the person who plans your care is the person who sees you through recovery.

Is This For You

Do your wisdom teeth need to come out?

Likely Time to Remove If

  • A wisdom tooth is impacted and can't fully break through the gum
  • One is crowding or shifting the teeth you want to keep straight
  • You have pain, swelling, or repeated infection around a back molar

Worth Discussing First

  • Wisdom teeth that are fully erupted, healthy, and easy to clean
  • A medical condition that affects surgery or sedation
  • Anxiety about the procedure, where the sedation options are worth talking through

Still unsure? Dr. Hill will assess your wisdom teeth at your consultation and tell you plainly whether removal is necessary or whether leaving them is the better choice.

Most wisdom teeth removals are a single visit, with the first few days of recovery at home.

The Difference

Care that continues through recovery

Stainless steel wisdom tooth extraction instruments, including forceps, an elevator, and a dental mirror, laid out on warm cream marble
The tools behind a clean extraction and a healthy smile.
  • Room to keep the smile you have

Wisdom teeth arrive last, when the rest of the mouth is already settled, and an impacted or crowding molar can push your other teeth out of line. Removing it in good time protects the alignment and the health of the teeth you want to keep.

  • Comfort matched to you

You do not feel the extraction itself, and Dr. Hill offers a full range of sedation, from a light breath of nitrous to IV conscious sedation she is certified to administer, so your nerves never stand between you and the care you need.

  • One clinician, through recovery

Dr. Hill reviews your imaging, removes the tooth, and follows your healing herself, seeing one patient at a time, so the person who plans your care is the person who sees you through it.

Explore Further

Wisdom teeth removal is one part of the comfort-first general dentistry care here. Many patients living with dental anxiety want to understand their sedation options before the appointment, and when a tooth turns painful or is beyond saving, gentle extraction and same-day care are handled here too.

The Clinician Behind Your Care

Meet Dr. Kerri Hill, the dentist behind your wisdom teeth removal

For more than twenty-five years, Dr. Kerri Hill has built her Beverly Hills practice around one patient at a time. For the many who arrive nervous about a surgical visit, she is certified in IV conscious sedation and keeps a dental anesthesiologist on hand, and she carries your care from the first conversation through your recovery herself. Meet Dr. Kerri Hill.

The Consultation

Your wisdom teeth start with a careful look and a plan for your comfort

There is no rush and no pressure. Here is how the consultation unfolds, from the first images of your mouth to a plan you understand before anything begins.

We look before we plan

Dr. Hill examines your mouth and takes the imaging she needs to see exactly where each wisdom tooth sits, whether it has erupted or is still hidden under the gum, so nothing about your treatment is a guess.

We choose your comfort

Together you decide on the level of sedation that suits you and the complexity of the case, and we plan the small practical things in advance, from your aftercare to arranging a ride home.

You decide when you are ready

You leave with a clear plan and the investment explained in full, and whether and when to schedule your appointment stays entirely your call.

“Wisdom tooth removal doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. My job is to keep you comfortable and make sure you know what’s happening every step of the way.”

  • Welcomed like a friend

I highly recommend Dr. Kerri Hill as a Dentist .From the moment you walk in and greeted by Monica you feel like you're visiting a friends home. The dental hygienists are also very good. You won't be disappointed! P.S. When Dr. Hill injects you with the numbing medication you can hardly feel the needle! Their office offers IV drips therapy! You truly feel like you're at a spa not a dental office! I will post my before and after pictures when done! 🦷💕 Thanks Dr. Hill+ staff!

The questions wisdom teeth patients ask us first

Will wisdom teeth removal hurt?

You are kept comfortable throughout, and with sedation and local anesthesia you do not feel the extraction itself. There is some swelling and soreness once the numbness fades at home, and Dr. Hill sends you with everything you need to manage it, including any medication for relief. Most people are back to their usual routine within a day or so.

Will I need someone to drive me home?

Yes. Because most wisdom teeth are removed under IV conscious sedation or general anesthesia, you will want a friend or family member to drive you home and help you get settled while the sedation wears off. We plan this with you before your appointment so nothing is left to the last minute.

What are the risks?

Any surgery carries a small risk of complications such as infection or a dry socket, where the clot that protects the healing site is lost too early. Following the aftercare Dr. Hill gives you keeps that risk low, and she reviews your healing at your follow-up so anything minor is caught early.

How long does recovery take?

Most people feel ready to return to normal activity within a day or so, with the tenderness easing over the days that follow. For the first 72 hours you drink plenty of water, keep to soft foods, and avoid straws, vigorous rinsing, and tobacco, which gives the extraction sites the calm they need to heal well.

Do you take my insurance?

Dr. Kerri Hill runs a boutique, cash-pay practice and is not in-network. That choice is what makes one patient at a time possible, giving you her full attention and privacy from your first question through recovery. If the investment is the worry, financing through CareCredit, Cherry, PatientFi, and Alphaeon can make a plan comfortable, and we walk through the numbers with you before you commit to anything.
